About Manahil khan
Hello, I’m Manahil, an undergraduate student pursuing a BS in English Literature & Language, with around 5 years of teaching and tuition experience. I primarily teach English and can also support students with History at the appropriate school level. My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than rote memorisation. I do not simply ask students to memorise a topic; I explain it clearly and take them towards its core idea so that they genuinely understand what they are learning. My goal is for students to be able to explain a topic in their own words and feel confident about what they have learned. I believe teaching can be more effective when traditional methods are supported by interactive and digital learning. I use appropriate digital and AI-based tools as supplementary resources for explanations, practice, quizzes and assessments, always according to the student’s level and learning needs. Along with concept building, I can help students improve their English grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking and communication skills, as well as their understanding of literature and course topics. I can communicate in both English and Urdu, depending on what helps the student understand the lesson better. My regular teaching and exam preparation are treated as separate parts of learning. While my regular classes focus on building understanding and strong concepts, I can also provide exam preparation, revision and exam-focused practice when required by the student or parents, or when the curriculum and assessment pattern call for it. This can be adjusted according to the student’s syllabus, level and specific requirements. I aim to create a friendly, supportive and engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to understand, ask questions, think independently and become confident in what they learn.
