Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the iTutor.pk website and the iTutor mobile applications for Android and iOS (together, the "Service"), operated by iTutor.pk ("iTutor", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Parents or legal guardians may use the Service to arrange tutoring for students under 18, and are responsible for that student's participation.

2. The Service

iTutor.pk is a marketplace that connects students and parents with independent tutors. We are not an employer, agent, or guarantor of any tutor, and we do not provide tutoring ourselves. Tutors are independent third parties. We do not verify every claim in a listing and are not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of tutoring services arranged through the Service.

3. Accounts

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tutors must provide truthful identity and qualification information; falsified credentials may result in suspension or termination.

4. Acceptable Use and User Content

You are responsible for the content you post, including profiles, messages and reviews. You grant iTutor a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and display your content for the purpose of operating the Service.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, fraudulent, or that infringes others' rights, and you must not impersonate others, spam, or attempt to take communications or payments off-platform to evade safeguards. We provide tools to report and block users, and we review reports and may remove content or accounts that violate these Terms. Reported objectionable content and abusive users are acted on promptly.

5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The Service offers optional paid features:

  • Premium subscription (e.g., monthly and yearly auto-renewing plans) — unlocks features such as the verified badge, hosting in-app video classes and contact reveal.
  • Featured listings (e.g., weekly and monthly) — boost a tutor's placement in search and on the home screen.

Where you purchase through the app:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Current prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region and over time.
  • You can restore previous purchases from the paywall screen.

6. Payments Between Users

Any fees for tutoring agreed between a tutor and a student/parent are arranged directly between them. iTutor is not a party to those arrangements and is not responsible for collecting, holding or refunding such payments, or for any disputes about them.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, logos and content (excluding user content), is owned by iTutor and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that tutoring arranged through it will meet your expectations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, iTutor will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Service or from interactions or transactions with other users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account, or https://itutor.pk/delete-account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

11. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you download the app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and iTutor only, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Your use of the app must comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and the standard Apple Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (EULA) at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
